CAPAD User Survey

Every two years, the Australian Government collects information on protected areas from state and territory Governments and other protected area managers. This information is published in the Collaborative Australian Protected Area Database (CAPAD).

The ‘CAPAD’ consists of summary area statistics, detailed lists and spatial datasets of Australia’s terrestrial and marine environments.

This survey is to help inform the Department of the estimated number of users of CAPAD, including the users organisation/roles likely to be involved in CAPAD use, CAPAD products used, whether the products meets users requirements, and whether the user has any future CAPAD preferences.

The following questions relate to CAPAD ‘products’ produced by the Department of the Environment and Energy. This is a broad term to mean the data or information, either numerical/textual or spatial as specified in the question.
